NFL Week 15: Saints @ Ravens

The defending Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints had a tough task ahead of them coming into this NFL regular-season as it is no easy feat to repeat as a Super Bowl champion in this league, but despite losing to some of the worst teams in the league like the Arizona Cardinals and the Cleveland Browns, Drew Brees and company have been able to get back on track and have won six straight games heading into Week 15.

Even though a lot of people questioned the New Orleans Saints ability to repeat this season as Super Bowl champions, Sean Payton’s squad has really come into their own as of late with some big wins over the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Dallas Cowboys.

Despite getting the best of the Pittsburgh Steelers back in Week 8, the New Orleans Saints biggest test before taking on the division leading Atlanta Falcons next week will be against the Baltimore Ravens this weekend.

The one thing that no one seems to question about this team is the fact that they have arguably one of the most potent offenses in the league led by one of the best quarterbacks in the league in Drew Brees, but it has been the defense that has been suspect, at least until now as they will come into this Week 15 showdown with the Baltimore Ravens as the fifth best defense in the league against the pass (198.6 opponent passing yards per game).

With the Saints defense finally stepping up this season and shutting down opposing quarterbacks, the Ravens will have to go with more ground game this weekend by using Pro bowl running back Ray Rice to their advantage.

Even though Rice hasn’t had the kind of season he had last year, the up-and-coming running back is as good as he gets coming out of the backfield and will have to have a big game this weekend if Baltimore wants come out with a win and get back in contention in the AFC North division.

visions. With that being said they are in desperate need of wins from here on out in order to knock the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Atlanta Falcons out of first place in the AFC North and NFC South.

Despite being winners of the last six straight games, the defending Super Bowl champions will come into this game as -1.5 un

derdogs against the Baltimore Ravens. This point spread is about right my opinion as this game will be as close as they come this weekend, but I do believe it would be wise to take the Saints to pull off the upset at +1.5.

The Baltimore Ravens are more than capable of coming out with a win in Week 15, but after struggling to beat the Houston Texans last week and exposing some flaws on the defensive side of the football, I believe something and company will take advantage and win their seventh straight.
